Cam Russell

In Memory

We are saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend, the Reverend Campbell Russell. Cam was our first Board President and the guiding force during our beginning in 1974. His kindness and passion to help the people we serve inspired everyone who met him. Even after his term as President ended, St. Stephen’s was near to his heart and Cam always attended our special events and Annual General Meetings. In 2012, we proudly named our newly renovated gymnasium in his honour.

Some years ago, Cam captured the essence of his work here. “The House is a living story of mutual support, friendship and empowerment. It is a story of love.” The words captured the essence of Cam too.

Cam’s family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Stephen’s.

There will be two gatherings for Cam: he will be cremated on Tuesday August 15th at 11am at St James Cemetery and Crematorium, 635 Parliament Street in Toronto, followed by his funeral on Saturday, August 19th, 11am at St James' Anglican Church, 58 Peter St. North, Orillia.
